Second Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Curriculum Development Workshop Held in Çanakkale

The second Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Curricula Development Workshop took place on October 20, 2022, in Çanakkale, providing updates on training materials and curriculum design. With 43 participants in attendance, the workshop included a tour of both indoor and outdoor laboratories where various PV systems were demonstrated. While overall feedback was positive, some participants suggested modifications, particularly regarding the roof slope and inverter connection points in the field application system.

In the afternoon session, the focus was on practical exercises for engineers and technicians. It was emphasized that the practice-oriented nature of the program would give technical personnel a competitive edge in the solar energy sector. The session also highlighted the importance of site visits to construction and panel assembly sites, as well as visits to operational facilities for hands-on learning.

Overall, the participants agreed that including site visits and internships would strengthen the training program. Private sector companies expressed their eagerness to support these initiatives, recognizing the importance of experiential learning in developing a qualified workforce.
